Well, my first ever federal advisory committee membership came and then went away rather quickly. Still, the fact that this committee was put together - the first ever federal advisory committee on scientific integrity - and that a collection of experts volunteered (without pay) their time for the nation's greater good is a win itself. It was an honor to serve the public in this capacity, even if for such a short time, and I hope I get the opportunity to do so again
