well, just when I thought I was inching towards NOT being as dramatic as this past almost-year as been, I lost my phone in the Typhoon Bualoi- adjacent storms today - for reference, I took this fairly calm video on a walk this morning between HARD downpours + winds : /

I was holding my poncho, at that! Not even wearing it yet !

….a few hours later, I built up the courage (?) to go to the market for the the channa masala ingredients I mentioned on my prior note. ba da bum.

soooo, RIP pixel 4a. let the record state, I have a frugal fondness for older models and not buying new stuff. : )

(btw, yes, there’s a find-my-phone-esque android thing. it last noted my phone an hour after I lost it riding my bicycle to the market. retraced my short route on foot too many times to count before dark. alas. it’s somewhat backed up, at least with google photos - sigh)

gonna be phone-less for a while, due to my moving-time-life-happens extra-limited-freelance budget this upcoming week…month…. ah, ah!
