this morning -
I stopped short for long, green peppers at Chợ Bắc Mỹ An

took home a quite a few - 6 or 7 - for 20,000 DNG worth (aka approximately $0.76 USD)
/
plus, tall asparagus (lighter in color, here), fried tofu, freshly baked Uzbek bread and a bánh mì bột lọc chay filled with steamed, chewy, delicious and intriguing filled tapioca dumplings, herbs, chili sauce, and greens.
I had never come across these ladies with a “chay” [vegetarian] pop-up in the market I visit most days now until now, and well, for $0.38 USD, there was my local lunch. : )
