Maria is the founder of Linqia, an enterprise influencer agency and technology firm based in San Francisco, which pioneered the creator ecosystem in the early 2000s.

Her mission was to introduce greater consciousness into the trillion dollar superhighway of attention.

She's also dedicated wife, mother and community leader for The Yearn, Stewardesses of Light, and Omya.

Motherhood and marriage!

My children are my greatest teachers, inspiring patience, presence, and unconditional love. I've always held in my heart Claude Debussy’s quote “it's the silence between the notes that makes the music”. Time slows to a snail's pace when I am with my children. They are the ultimate litmus test of mindfulness practice and meditation.

Words of wisdom to herself 10 years ago:

1. You are the sum of the people you spend the most time with.

Having grown up in Sydney, Australia, and subsequently lived in Hamburg, Zurich, and Barcelona before settling in San Francisco, I've scoured the earth for my core tribe.

While people enter your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime and you never know which it will be the Bay Area is where I've experienced exponential growth and formed the most potent community of heart-centered and deeply awakened humans.

2. The stronger the wind, the stronger the tree.

From the moment I incorporated Linqia, I knew it would be one of the most challenging creative journeys of my life. Relocating to San Francisco with a six-week-old baby, bringing on a co-founder with a completely different perspective, and entering a non-existent market felt like walking through fire for the first decade.

Yet, it has been a necessary and immense gift, shaping how I approach the latter half of my life in service to the collective.

3. Integrating the Divine masculine and feminine energies

About a month into our relationship, my partner Gary gave me an ultimatum, stating, “I have a strong masculine; if you’re going to be in your masculine all the time, this will make for a difficult relationship.”

His words hit me hard, and I realized that for all of my life, I had been the one taking charge in my relationships. I felt safe enough to trust Gary to help draw out my feminine, and not long after, we attended a Michaela Boehm “Wild Woman’s Way” workshop at Esalen.

The ripple effect of this experience on how I show up as a mother, co-founder, leader, peer, and for myself has been a beautiful, albeit precarious, dance.
