“All of my wishes have come true”

Prolific investor Cyan Banister was one of my favorite guests on the podcast last year.

I find people that I tend to have the most fun talking to:

- Believe in life’s magic

- Can hold both depth and breadth

- Don’t take themselves too seriously

- Can straddle exploring the mysterious while navigating practical elements of life

Cyan definitely fits this bill and is an inspiration in many ways.

How does she manage to explore life’s mysteries while performing at a very high level in venture capital?

One useful frame she offered in our conversation is to suspend disbelief and treat everything as an experiment.

A lot of people run experiments with their health or business, but never think to do this in more fundamental ways like experimenting with mind and the nature of reality.

I think it’s exciting that high profile people like Cyan who are opening up about these perspectives.

It opens mind to greater human potential.
