Well said Scott. In addition, we must admit that the quality of college grads has declined over the years as evidenced by many grads inability to write and demonstrate verbal reasoning. In many cases, high school grads are being pressured to get a 4-year degree, at an expense which has dramatically exceeded the inflation rate, yet these grads receive very few tangible skills that will contribute to the economy or society. In other words, a lesser return on an increasingly

exorbitant investment. Many community colleges are providing relevant vocational skills that can be received after only 2 years of post secondary education. Merit matters and it’s heartening to see the Federal government embrace this principle. While there will be much internal pushback, it is the right cause.
