“Could a kangaroo kick to the stomach permanently injure a human?”
Kangaroo males begin sparring when they are very young. From then on, the sparring gets rougher and rougher.
Eventually, it becomes a full blown fight for dominance.
They primarily try to angle so that they can stand on their tail and kick to the stomach.
Their kicks are extremely strong. They also have claws on their feet. Their stomach skin and fur is much thicker than humans. If you tried to mess with a larger alpha male, it could very easily end with you badly injured, potentially disemboweled.
Don’t do it.
Goon: Do you even lift bro?
Kangaroo: Nah. I don’t need to. Au naturel.
