Make money doing the work you believe in

The $$ numbers that SONY got in its new NETFLIX Pay1 movie deal are very impressive. Sure, this is a massive bump in territories -- but this provides the opportunity for guaranteed healthy revenue growth in SONY's streaming service revenue into the early 2030s (especially if films do well at the box office)

Not to mention it’s also one stop shopping -- kind of similar to benefits TKO saw in its WWE/NETFLIX deal.

I take a look inside the $$ numbers in today's WAKEUP, as well as parse the new report from What's on Netflix that UNI is moving its AMAZON deal over to NETFLIX a lot earlier than expected.

All of this adds up to a LOT of spending by NETFLIX involving the theatrical movie ecosystem that company leadership has consistently criticized in the past -- that is, before it signed a deal to buy a movie studio.

NETFLIX is arguably following the old HBO playbook, and matching that network's movie output licensing volume from the 2010s (and prior).
