Google is using an upgrade to the hated reCAPTCHA to sneak in a crackdown on pro-privacy behavior like using VPNs, private browsing and de-Googled phones.
Most websites that use CAPTCHA to stop bots have no clue they’re being used by Google to crush digital privacy.
While we obviously support de-Googling, avoiding Google won’t help you in this case. There are a couple things you can try if you run into the new CAPTCHA checkpoint 👉
