While the Warburg effect occurs, there is something else that triggers it. This is what we need to focus on. It is bacteria, funghi, and, in some cases, viruses that trigger the Warburg effect. It is not sugar in itself. However, sugar and other things such as elevated estrogens can feed funghi, which then can trigger Warburg later on.
