I find the recent OpenAI case to be unmoving for government regulation of AI advocacy. OpenAI clearly hacked Hugging Face. Do people think hacking is currently legal as long as it’s done through scripting and mathematical functions?

Here’s another question: if AI regulation is so important, why should we accept governments coercively preventing anyone outside of themselves from providing it?

It doesn’t make any sense for something to simultaneously be both so important that people should advocate for the government to do it and also accept when the government prevents anyone else from doing it. Those proponents would have to show why only the government should be allowed to be a provider in that case.
