Yes, how silly of me to assume that when you said “of course I despise the American left” that you actually meant those words. Clearly, you were just malice-signaling. If you want to talk about true believers, maybe spend some time where I grew up in the American south where religious fundamentalism (and all the bigotries associated with it) are still extremely common. Or hell, just take a quick look at today’s GOP uncritically believing every conspiracy theory under the sun. But we both know you’re not going to do that. Your seething anger at the left is evidently far more important to you than any principled commitment to liberty, pluralism, or the constitution.
