I read something today written by Joel Uili — “Every creative knows that their work has a symbiotic effect— as they create they themselves are created.”
His words really landed deep in me… inviting me to consider the nature of entrainment, meaning the process by which two or more independent systems—biological, physical, or social—gradually synchronize their rhythms through interaction. So profound this notion — that our creations have the power to change our being, to help transform the way we relate and exchange, in feeling, perceiving, and pursuing. The creative act, as a container through which the development of personhood is cultivated… Art/creation as a bridge between conscious and unconscious.
What do you think? Have you ever been fundamentally changed by something you have brought into form?
