**Trigger warning: white privilege** If you’ve been following my writing, you know that I’m allergic to a certain type of demographic complaining about Italy, or feeling sorry for themselves because Italy didn’t solve all their problems OR they figured out Italy is a problematic country just like any other country. I hope to see the day this type of content becomes very unfashionable. Not only such people only want to come to a place and benefit from ALL its upsides but they have no interest in participating into the wider society to fix the very problems they so eloquently diagnose. Unless such essays have a section that looks into “what can be done about it” or “how can we address this collectively” I’m really not interested in reading hot takes about Italy’s economic, social etc problems. Basta!
