Make money doing the work you believe in
This is going to be controversial - but if you are moving to Southern Europe for the “slow life” but paying your taxes elsewhere (meaning you are not financially contributing to the infrastructure of the country you are benefiting from) I’d argue you have an extractionist/colonialist relationship with your new residence. It’s not OK to benefit without contributing. Especially in economies that run at the backs of young people working poverty wages, the same young people whose taxes finance pensions, healthcare, roads, schools, bridges etc…
