(1) In February 2026, at the “HBF Specification Standardization Consortium Kickoff” held at SanDisk headquarters, it was decided to form a workstream under the Open Compute Project to drive global standardization.

(2) The goal is to deliver samples in 2026 and achieve mass production in 2027.

(3) Samsung Electronics, learning from its late-mover experience in the HBM market, is now going all-in on HBF development.

(4) It will be interesting to see how the competition unfolds against Kioxia (in collaboration with NVIDIA).
