The app for independent voices

We went to see Project Hail Mary last night with some sweet friends who bought extra tickets. Husband and I did the math and realized it was our first time back to a movie theater since before 2020, which is…wild.

I’ve heard loads of horror stories about declining modern movie theater etiquette, but I’m so happy to report that last night felt like the old days: even in a moderately-full IMAX theater, everyone laughed at the right times, cried at the right times, and the silences were absolute—you could have heard a pin drop. No glow of phones. Just the soft crunch of popcorn.

It was magic, the way going to the movies ought to be. The power of a good story told in the perfect setting.

I’m still buzzing. ❤
