After seeing vineyards in Virginia and California, I now understand just how massive these Italian grape vines truly were. We happened to be vacationing at a family friend's farm just at harvest time when outside workers were brought in to pick the grapes. I became obsessed with this woman who, I'm sure was thinking, "who is this idiotic American with the camera?" I always thought the cigarette was a nice touch.
