My choice sewing machine for sewing through seabird skin: Juki DDL-8000a. Beast of a machine designed with a direct drive motor, automatic thread trimming, and electric presser foot lift. Powerful enough to penetrate and feed thicker seabird skin with ease, but not so heavy-duty that it chews up the fine leather and feathers.
