I work for 988. I had a suicidal caller once, from Oakland. SERIOUSLY suicidal, met the criteria for imminent risk. I called OPD to initiate rescue and was given a wait time of 45 mins - 1 hour. Dispatch literally told me "yeah we have a shooting now we'll get there when we get there." This isn't some small town, this is a city of some size. You can't do both?

I shake my head at the whole thing. Progressivism is such a mass delusion...
