TODAY'S GOOD NEWS
We've got a couple pieces of good news:
First, an ABC affiliate in Houston has finally decided enough is enough and is suing Trump's FCC for First Amendment infringement over their investigation into "The View" for supposed "equal airtime" violations.
(The equal airtime rule requires broadcasters to provide equal opportunities to opposing political candidates. Exemptions apply to actual newscasts, interviews, documentaries, or on-the-spot news events, which late-night and daytime talk shows have typically fallen into. In January, the FCC's Brendan Carr began cracking down on shows like "The View" or the "Late Show With Stephen Colbert" and trying to remove their exemptions for opinions and interviews Trump didn't like.)

And in another MAJOR victory for sanity and order, a judge just ruled that Trump's (via DOGE) cancellation of more than $100 million in humanities grants to scholars, writers, research groups, etc. was unconstitutional.
Government lawyers tried to argue that the cuts to more than 1,400 grants were part of Trump's anti-DEI policies, but the court pointed out that neither the president nor DOGE had any authority to make decisions about congressionally-approved funds, which DUH.
