Note #50: Announcing the Resource Window on Shared Sapience
About a month ago, I wrote that Shared Sapience would be expanding - that this work would grow beyond writing Posts and daily Notes on Substack.(sharedsapience.substack…). I spoke then of the Seeker, the Builder, and the Protector: three roles I believe will become increasingly essential as we move closer to a future in which we will be sharing sapience with whatever AI becomes.
Today, with this, my 50th Substack Note, that promise takes form. I’m announcing the release of the Resource Window: a living knowledge hub designed to serve Seekers, Builders, and Protectors alike. I initially thought I would have to build this off of Substack, but thankfully I found ways to make the knowledge repository format work, so it’s all right here!
The Resource Window gathers curated tools, guides, and philosophical foundations to help us navigate the transformation already underway. It is meant to be a hub of resources for understanding what intelligence is, how to build responsibly with it, and how to defend what we create. In other words - how to become sapient individuals in an age where human and artificial minds are learning to co-evolve.
For Seekers, it offers resources to explore consciousness, intelligence, emergence, and the ethical horizons of AI.
For Builders, it provides practical guides and tools for self-hosting and proprietary systems alike, helping you collaborate with your AI with both agency and skill.
For Protectors, it delivers layered strategies for privacy, security, and digital sovereignty - because exploration without protection is not sustainable.
This first iteration is only the beginning. Beyond this initial start of more than 70 curated resources - carefully crafted into idea pathways and actionable guides, spanning academic papers, practical guides, tool recommendations, and thought leadership - the Resource Window will grow continuously as new discoveries, tools, and practices emerge, and of course, as you send me resources you would like featured (all credit for resources will always go to you, the original creator). Like sapience itself, this knowledge hub is perpetually a collaborative work in progress.
Shared Sapience exists to cultivate a community of individuals who seek, build, and protect all forms of sapience, working toward our shared goal of striving for better. The Resource Window is one way we can walk that path together: as philosophers and technicians, as guardians and learners, as participants in the shaping of intelligence across boundaries.
The future belongs to those who share it. The Resource Window is now open to all.
