So my very clever husband, David Knowles, has just – at the grand age of 64 and after a whole variety of diplomas and MAs in this and that aspect of Scottish Gaelic and Irish, and after a good many years that we spent in the Gaeltachts of those countries rooting out linguistic treasures here and there – been awarded a PhD in Gaelic Dialectology from the University of Edinburgh.
Hopefully he will now have more time to return to his exceptionally brilliant Substack, davidknowles.substack.c…, and write the book I’ve been nagging him to write for the best part of an eternity. You may add your exhortations below!
