The US Forest Service is conducting prescribed burns near Frazier Park at night and pretending the smoke is from the Madre Fire, which was burning in the Carrizo Plain but has been out since yesterday.

For years they have been conducting prescribed burns here, not disclosing when they are happening to the public, and creating an environment that reinforces their doctrine about California being perpetually on fire due to global warming. It’s cool here in the mountains tonight and the low will be in the mid-40s. Another round of smoke is coming in from a nearby prescribed burn, not a fire that is already out. There was no smoke all day, just like yesterday, until the evening.

Conditions have been very high in OR with almost no flights for days.
