Energy Shift, Exodus of Flyers & Incoming Cold Front

Mar. 4, 2026

After a week of warm spring-like weather following the big snow storm which brought us two feet of snow, winter is returning.

Out of nowhere, snow appeared in our forecast for tonight into tomorrow morning. As of this evening, the sky is perfectly clear, so if it does snow, it will come suddenly.

Most likely the snow forecast is a result of an OR shift which causes the type of precipitation I call OR splatter. This isn't a heavy rain or snow, but large drops that fall as a result of an energetic shift in the atmosphere before the sky clears and/or the "real" rain comes.

The snow in the forecast seems to be isolated to this small area in the mountains of Kern and Ventura County, and the high wind warning for our area indicates a sudden OR shift.

Today, the flyers were quite insistent to get through and get out. The trails broke up and high DOR clouds transmuted and spiraled up and away. In the evening, low OR clouds began to come in over the mountains. If the energetic shift can complete overnight, we may get some light snow.
