2023 Jacksonville Jaguars Outlook (5/31)

Based on the progression of the Jaguars’ offense and receiving options, I slightly bumped up their passing attempts. As a result, I rated Calvin Ridley above Christian Kirk by a few catches and receiving yards. Evan Engram has the third-best receiving opportunity, while Zay Jones is the player most affected by Ridley returning to action in 2023.

Last year, the Jaguars rarely featured the running back in their passing game, making it difficult to project more catches for Travis Etienne. In addition, Jacksonville wanted to pass the ball a lot inside the five-yard line, hurting the scoring chances for their backs.

This year, Travis Etienne should be on the field for more third-down plays, but Jacksonville will also rotate in a second back on early downs.
