2023 Los Angeles Chargers Outlook (6/8)
The structure of the Chargers’ offense is pretty straightforward in 2023 if their top players stay healthy. Los Angeles will throw the ball a ton again this year (751 times in 2022 - projected for 695 passes this season), with Austin Ekeler and Keenan Allen expected to catch 90 balls or more.
Justin Herbert gave Mike Williams a bump in chances over the past two seasons, giving him WR2 status in PPR formats if he makes 17 starts. His scoring potential alone invited multiple impact games. Joshua Palmer will be a chain-mover as their WR3, while Quentin Johnson works as their new big play wideout on the outside.
Gerald Everett should be a solid backend TE1 in the fantasy market with about five playable games on the year.
Herbert should have a much longer passing window if his offensive line plays up to their potential. They may need some games to find their rhythm, as multiple players will change positions in 2023. Herbert also should regain some of his lost value in the run game.
