My seeds are sprouting! They’re starting to come up both indoors and outdoors. The first three are some of my winter sowing ones: shungiku (edible chrysanthemum), salvia, and hyssop. They all look the same at this point with their seed leaves coming up first.

And then, under my lights are snapdragon (I know, I planted too many in one place; but they should separate fairly easily), sweet peas, and eggplant. I’m so excited that my first attempt with seed snails is working out so far!

It’s still freezing outside, and these are still early days for seed starting. I’ll do most of my indoor seed planting under my lights in mid-April. But it’s so exciting to see these early ones start to take off. I can’t wait for spring!
