Soon I’ll be moving my variegated lemon, lime, orange, and limoncello balms out of my herb garden and into some large pots. I’ve been spending way too long each year pulling out their seedlings that spread everywhere. I should have anticipated this - they’re in the mint family, after all!
The second photo shows the beautiful coloration on the variegated lemon balm. I do love all of these herb varieties. They’re beautifully-scented, and would make a great addition to a cup of tea. I just need a better way of keeping them contained.
And I have to move them while they’re still small in the early spring, like in this first photo, before the takeover begins anew!
