My Substack account is still broken.

I’m blocked from subscribing, even after reducing my subscriptions from about 5000 to 2475.

I consistently get: “Cannot subscribe to more than 5000 publications.”

I’ve tested across browsers, incognito, logged-out/manual entry, and after cache clearing. The error persists.

Occasionally one subscription goes through, which suggests the counter isn’t updating correctly. I’ve contacted support multiple times since this started in December.

This account is for my work, and it’s incredibly stressful not to be able to subscribe to other members who put their trust in me.

This seems like a backend issue that may need a manual reset.
