The Trump administration asked a federal judge on Tuesday to deny an injunction sought by two Virginia residents to stop an upcoming UFC fight on the South Lawn of the White House. 

The Justice Department (DOJ) has argued that the June 14th event has been “in the making” since Trump announced it last summer, with more than $60 million already spent, thousands of spectators expected to attend, and more than a dozen fighters in training to participate. 

Crews have erected “a 5,000-seat arena right outside the front door of the White House,” encompassing the entire South Lawn, blocking any view from all directions. The White House has even done a dry run with the stage lights on, as seen in the video below. We are still waiting on a ruling on the injunction, so stay tuned…
