Now that we’re in Muscat, a city of kind souls that has treated us so well the past six months, I feel the same feeling I’ve felt before.

When moving to the UK.

When moving to Canada.

When moving back home to France.

When moving to Ireland.

When moving to Oman.

Exploring a new country is exciting. Settling in feels great. But some people are forever stuck in the in-between spaces.

No place on Earth is perfect except those transitional places: airports, hotels, planes.

The ones which by definition you’ll always have to leave.

This is a hard pill to swallow at times, but I think there’s a kind of wisdom in it.

One where you’re always more excited about the search than the destination. 🚌
