Seven months ago, I moved over to Substack without fully knowing what I was stepping into. I had been blogging for eight years before that, and I’m not exaggerating when I say that I’ve had more real conversations here in these seven months than I did in nearly a decade of blogging.
Something about this space feels different. The engagement isn’t surface-level. People aren’t just skimming and moving on. They’re reading carefully. They’re responding thoughtfully. They’re sharing their own stories. I’ve found myself in actual dialogue here… the kind where you walk away still thinking about what someone said.
I’ve formed more genuine relationships in this short time than I expected. There’s a depth to the interactions that feels rare on the internet right now. It doesn’t feel performative, it feels intentional.
And I don’t take that lightly.
So I just want to say thank you. Thank you for showing up. Thank you for reading closely. Thank you for engaging in ways that feel human and generous and real. This little corner of the internet has become something I genuinely love, and that’s because of the people in it.
I’m grateful to be building here with you. 💖
