Psalm 119 is 176 verses long, and almost every single one is about how much the writer loves the Word of God. The writer doesn’t talk about loving God in a vague, sentimental way. He loves God’s Torah. He studies it, meditates on it day and night, hides it in his heart, and runs back to it when he is devastated.
The longest chapter in the Bible is essentially a sustained meditation on God's word. I don’t know what to tell you except that maybe the Book has been trying to tell us something about itself for a very long time… and we’ve been too busy looking for the short version.
