I love that when I try to write poetry, that it influences how I write my short stories and prose, and how when I try to write stories, that it guides my poetry and prose, too—the same with trying to write prose or creative nonfiction and how that influences the other forms. Like the practice of one craft is not limited to just that style of writing, but it becomes a study of all crafts of writing.
