Two pieces of information would help this make more sense: 1) What is the best estimate of the true vaccination rate of the whole Canadian population? And 2). Did the Canadians also use the extremely dishonest relabelling that the US CDC did, of hiding the 1st two weeks of vaccine injuries by labelling the recently vaccinated as "unvaccinated"? Knowing these answers will help to be able to evaluate the data you posted.
As Of February 22 2022 80% of Canadians have had two jabs and 45% have had the booster. The definition in Ontario of "fully vaccinated" omits those vaccinated in the first two weeks based on the premise that it takes two weeks to develop inoculation induced antibodies. I am sure this definition is used across all Canadian provinces. Canada does have an adverse event reporting system that was designed to make it almost impossible for Medical professionals to file a report given the average life expectancy is maybe 80 years of age :-). A common refrain to an article like this is that 30% of deaths within the non inoculated group is disproportionately large as they form 20% of the population. This argument in my opinion is fallacious as the denominator in the non inoculated group continually shrinks as a more and more are forced to be inoculated. Hence it is not a good barometer of risk. If only one Canadian is left un inoculated who catches COVID the risk of catching COVID is not 100 percent for the non inoculated as the risk of getting COVID is independent of the size of a group in a particular geographic location.
