Thank you to Siddharthya Roy for this report -- our mainstream media barely knows where Jammu and Kashmir are on the map.
Taking a step back, Kashmir is a gorgeous natural gem, what used to be known as "heaven on earth" -- I've visited the place before the troubles started in the 1990s, and seen the beauty.

I do not disagree with anything you have said. Least of all your statement that the attacks don’t take place in a vacuum.
In fact, I’d go a step further and say that Islamist extremism led by Pakistan’s hawks and Hindutva neo-fascists led by hateful Indians are each other’s greatest allies. And lest we forget, the conflict in Kashmir as in most places keeps many pockets lined.
