I’m still at my mom’s bedside, almost 24 hours a day, very little sleep. But she’s still fighting - with the iron will she wove into me. And tonight has been the best one yet. For that, I’m so grateful.
I needed to reach out and say thank you to all of you. The love and support that poured in - I can’t put into words what it means.
My mom has always been my anchor. When I was little, she put me on a little stool in the kitchen so I could reach the counter. That was her world. Cooking was never just food; it was love, generosity, joy. Feeding her family was how she cared for us.
That love became the seed of my twenty cookbooks. Every recipe carries a trace of her hands.
Now all I can do is hold hers.
Thank you for being here. For reminding me I’m not alone.
With deep gratitude,Sif ♥️
