AI is trained on large amounts of data, and so, on a “world knowledge” level, it absolutely will prioritize mainstream, human/ego-centric ways of knowing. This will further marginalize and dilute alternative, stigmatized, non-Western, and “unconventional” voices.
Right now, we’re already seeing AI-induced psychosis and a flattening of cognition. But as humans continue to allow AI to spew its plagiarized, Frankenstein vomitus and cannibalize on itself, we will see more and more exclusivist, ethnocentric, bigoted ways of thinking.
This isn’t an invitation to nihilism, but to critical thinking, to actually challenge dominant ways of knowing!
