The app for independent voices

So, back in May '22, we took this really cool trip to the USA hitting up some legendary music spots.

Suzy Starlite and I kicked things off in Memphis for the International Blues Challenge and all the awards stuff. While we were there, we swung by Sun Studio, which was amazing, played live on Memphis Radio with Ric Chetter and Mark Caldwell plus our many friends from the Memphis Blues Society.

Then we headed over to Tupelo to see where Elvis was born and crashed with our great mate, Daniel Stoddard, for a night, which was a treat.

We played Ground Zero in Clarksdale and caught up with our pal Mark Reckard in Nashville. It was a great trip.

One of the highlights was definitely our time in Muscle Shoals. We stayed with ‘Mr Shoals’ and top bloke, Johnny Belew, who showed us around all the famous recording studios including the world renowned Fame.

We met the fantastic Counts family, who run what we reckon is the best music shop in town. It was a busy few days, but honestly, every bit of it was brilliant.

Anyway, this morning I received an email from Universal Audio with a video link, and it just brought all those Muscle Shoals memories rushing back.

If you're into old-school audio gear or know anything about the legendary Billy Putnam, you should definitely check this out.
