A short one today as I am sure you don’t want to hear any more about the drudgery of packing boxes.

I didn’t sleep well and was tired but we arose, had porridge, coffee and got on with the day.

Suzy Starlite and I dropped off the metal stand that supports the console at Pro Solda. They are going to make the modifications today, which is cool. The full story can be found in my note on the 16th.
On the way back we bought some coloured stickers to mark up the boxes/cases to designate which room they should end up in at the new place.
We then called in at another of our haunts, A Petisqueira, for a beer and told them we were leaving: more emotion. The picture below was taken there with the owner. They do great, coat effective lunches with a different special every day.

Our hounds are wondering what’s happening.
Hummock and Bobby have seen it all before and stoically observe. Françoise and Edith however are very curious.
We don’t let them in the studio as young Labradors, paper and bubble wrap just don’t mix. But they are clever, keep finding ways in and then wreak havoc. They love the game.

Rather than cook we dined at our favourite place in Samora, Europa.
We have written about this place a lot but if you missed the articles it’s basically a transport cafe and truck stop that gets very busy, is cheap, very friendly and serves excellent Portuguese food. Suzy opted for the bitoque de porco and I, the veal stew. Wonderful.
The staff know us very well and when we told them the news there was—if it’s possible—even more emotion.
Wow, we put down deep roots here.
See you tomorrow.
