Complete stranger who got in my photo today at Tianzifang, a former rundown arts collective in downtown Shanghai that is now, inevitably, a heaving tourist trap of White Rabbit candy stores and I ❤️ SH T-shirt shops. Still, it is very uniquely Shanghai, with red brick architecture and an eclectic vibe you won’t find anywhere else in mainland China.
