Contrary to what some in the far-right echo chamber have been saying this week, I have not been silenced. I’m right here folks. And I am ready to get started!

Ruhle: The left-leaning podcast MeidasTouch has just done the unthinkable—dethroned Joe Rogan to become the country’s most popular podcast… People often say the Democrats don’t know how to hit—these guys are hitters.

Today’s show was my last at CNN. My closing message: It’s never a good time to bow down to a tyrant… don’t give in to the lies. Don’t give in to fear. Hold on to the truth… and hope.
It's been only a few hours since Jim Acosta announced his departure from CNN and he's already officially launched his Substack.
I think it's telling that these media stars don't even bother looking for other jobs before launching their own independent outlets; that's not to say his agents won't continue shopping around for deals, but my guess is that any future legacy media contract would operate in parallel to what he's building on his own.
Paul Krugman. Jen Rubin. Jim Acosta. All these jumps from legacy media outlets happened within just the last few weeks, and they were all completely voluntary. This is just such a rapid shift in power and influence from traditional outlets to independent media. This should be an exciting time for those frustrated by how bad the mainstream media has been at covering issues that matter to everyday people.
Success is more important to you than Truth?….🇺🇸is on the precipice of a major paradigm shift…a much needed shift. Those strong man made forces that have raised their ugly egos/voices are being replaced with people who are not afraid to speak up and do it independently from a 💰 paycheck.
Kinda getting bored of all of this leaping — you read content from one of these dudes and you get the same beat and talking points that’s similar to all of them — people are burned out on what the fucking ‘experts’ have to share — it’s tedious. And who can afford it at all?
People are HUNGRY for this. We no longer recognize corporate media because they have become greedy bottom-liners, no longer interested in reporting the truth. Support independent news sources however you can. If you can’t pay for subscriptions, do your best to repost, restack, like and comment. You know integrity when you see it.
Krugman has been here since 2021 but obviously it’s his sole home now. But I agree with something recently posted ‘2025 will be the year of independent journalism’
It’s fascinating to watch this shift in real time — legacy media shedding its stars like autumn leaves, while Substack and independent platforms become the new soil where they take root. The speed of it all is what’s striking. Not long ago, a journalist leaving a major outlet without a clear next step would have been seen as a career crisis. Now, it feels almost inevitable, even strategic.
Acosta, Krugman, Rubin… they’re not just jumping, they’re divesting, reclaiming their own brands and audien…
Been a fan for a long time. Welcome to Substack. I’ve been experimenting with it for about a year, and I’m enjoying it. I’ve got a few posts you might find interesting now that you have more time to read. :) Good luck. As I’ve watched other big names migrate, I’ve noticed some great success.
Greenland being taken over...How about if we just take over their health care? (In all integrity, I have to admit that I just checked wikipedia and an uncited reference there says that Greenland has a high infant mortality rate). So let's just not take them over OK?
