Prayer Vigil
Various ministries have a 24 hour prayer vigil while they are active. People pray around the clock, in half-hour or hour chunks of time. It's powerful.
It occurs to me that when someone on substack posts a prayer request, there are people from all around the globe praying, making it a 24 hour prayer vigil. Isn't that cool?
So here’s your chance. My wife, Kathryn, is going into a women’s prison April 9-12 to minister to about 40 women there, with her team of 30 women from the outside.
Pray that there would be salvations, and disciple-making and disciple-deepening.
Pray that love would triumph.
Pray that chains would break.
Pray that addictions would fall.
Pray that trauma and abuse would be healed.
Pray that lies would be exposed.
Pray that demonic powers would flee.
Pray that hands and hearts gripping onto sin and the junk of this life would open and reach for Jesus Christ.
Pray for His angels to plow the way, keeping the team safe as they travel, and removing any impediment to ministry.
I am going to the closing ceremony on the last day, and it is so exciting to hear the ladies testify of God’s work in their life. And the other Christian women there in the prison are so encouraging. When one woman shares a story of salvation or renewed commitment to God the whole crowd of a hundred jumps to their feet and cheers! Makes an old man cry!
Jesus is working in prisons in amazing ways. Please join in this work, in this victory. You know, death has been swallowed up in victory!
