RIP 大腕 Donald Sutherland - Actor Donald Sutherland died today at 88. Yes this is a newsletter about China, but there is a Sutherland China connection. In 2001 he filmed a quirky movie in Beijing called Big Shot's Funeral 大腕. It was not his best or most famous work, but Feng Xiaogang directed it and Ge You was one of the stars.
