hello substack!! I have been a bit MIA with some life transitions & a move west back to California (currently in transit). I brought along these lovely little Catena tube samples because they are perfect for a little wine on the go. I’ll be sharing more on all the wines, but starting with:
Appellation Lujánde Cuyo White Clay - Semillón Chenin Blanc 2022
White florals (lime verbena, honeysuckle), white nectarine, Bosc pear, hay
Bright inviting acidity, really well-balanced palate super smooth
I didn’t have stemware because I was road tripping and in a hotel, but still had abundant aromatics and the finish is so smooth
Nicely integrated!
P.S. celebrated my 37th birthday last week and I’m working on a round up of my 37 most memorable wines EVER to inspire your 2026 sips. At this point, it will likely come out after Christmas & be the last newsletter of the year. Cheers to the holidays!
