Maybe all of the hardship you’re facing is so that you don’t for a second get too comfortable/relaxed in dunya. Perhaps it’s all so you keep craving Jannah and the meeting with Allah. Maybe it’s all so you keep seeking to please Him, hoping for His mercy and forgiveness, longing for Him… Maybe He knows that you will fall into heedlessness (ghaflah) if He gives you everything you want right now. So behind all of the withholding… there is khair. If you’ve asked and He withheld, something bigger and better than your wildest dreams could be waiting for you. Maybe the reward for your patience during the wait carries more weight than whatever it is you’re waiting for. Sabr, Beautiful. Just a little remains.
