Sigh. The bigoted members of my resident school district just can’t help virtue signaling to their small-minded and pearl-clutching supporters. This resolution has no teeth; state and federal law will immediately render it unenforceable and the state’s student athletic association also bars participating schools from discriminating based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
Rather, it’s just a smug gesture reminding their queer students that who those students are isn’t real to the very people entrusted with preparing them for their futures.
