I’m reading this article while traveling at about 300 km/h (186 mph) on a TGV train from Lyon to Toulouse. Did you hear about the French consultants who were working on the California high-speed rail project, now dead in the water, who at some point not too long ago threw up their hands and said, essentially, “You guys aren’t serious about this. We’re going home.” And they did. And now, add to that the tRump regime’s paying off the French energy giant TotalEnergy to cancel the leases on two major offshore wind-power projects in NY and NC to the tune of almost $1B? And, to add insult to injury, they’re reinvesting that money in fossil-fuel projects. This is the most heinous, idiotic moves any government could inflict on its citizens.
