for as much pressure we often project onto others, sadly no one demands more from us than ourselves. when we're not launching past our limits, we're running on fumes dragged from the dregs of yesterday. it's not that things can't wait, it's what we fear it says about us if they do: we're lazy, we’re irresponsible, or perhaps worst of all - we’re incapable. but if we shove that shame aside, suddenly we're someone who values their peace over productivity, says no to others to answer a yearning yes to themselves, and lets their ego take a tumble if it means honoring the precious being hidden inside all that human doing. 📸: joe green
